Diomira

             After reading the given excerpt, I was able to very vividly imagine a bustling city. To me Diomira seemed like a city somewhere in the middle east because of the domes and colourful lanterns. However the statues reminded me of an ancient roman city.

             

I drew what I think the lady on the terrace must be seeing.

These are drawings of how I think the lanterns must have looked.

This is another representation of Diomira. Just like me, the artist chose to draw a city scape.

However our ideas of Diomira are very different.

Here the artist imagines Diomira in a more Indian setting. this is apparent from the lady in the saree, and the statues of gods.
